Cubbies is the Beginner Awana club for children who are in Jr. Kindergarten or one year younger than this age group. The Bible tells us in Luke 2:52 "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." We seek to see the same development in our Cubbies.
Wisdom - Cubbies are taught age-appropriate Bible verses, songs and stories.
Stature - Cubbies enjoy an active play time and are given a snack
In favour with God - With the use of crafts and puppets, we not only tell them stories, we try to teach them to please God by applying the lessons to their lives.
In favour with man - Cubbies are taught to be kind and to share with each other. We teach them to respect leaders and parents by listening and obeying.
It is our belief that cubbies parents are their own childrens primary spiritual leaders. We therefore encourage all parents to participate and assist their Cubbies at home. Together we can help these children increase "in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man."
